Occupational Summary
The Assistant Supervisor conducts inspections, monitors performance, and maintains records, equipment, and supplies. The role includes establishing and maintaining housekeeping schedules and overseeing work assignments in the absence of the Senior Housekeeping Supervisor within any service area.
Work Performed
Establish and maintain housekeeping schedules and assign work to employees for various housekeeping duties. Conduct comprehensive inspections to verify the completion of assigned work and ensure quality standards are met. Ensure that all assignments are properly staffed and that employees have adequate supplies and equipment for task completion. Monitor employee performance and determine when disciplinary actions may be necessary. Ensure proper training of both new and existing personnel. Discuss general housekeeping procedures with personnel in the assigned area to ensure compliance with established protocols. Maintain records related to employee performance, equipment, supplies, and general housekeeping activities. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires the ability to provide instructions and maintain records generally acquired through a partial high school education
Experience
Work requires two years of cleaning or related experience necessary to obtain knowledge of scope of housekeeping unit operations, or 2 years as a lead worker or acting as supervisor. Familiar with accepted supervisory and personnel practices and standards OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
