Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to join our team at the Fraser School. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting inclusivity in our program.
Requirements:
Need to have obtained some post-secondary credits in Early Childhood Education or related area. Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications that Fraser provides. Ability to work independently and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must meet Rule 3 Qualifications for an Assistant Teacher (previous education Commitment to promoting diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion with a focus on culturally responsive practice, internal self-awareness, and reflection.Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that accommodate children of all abilities. Provide individualized support and assistance to children with special needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel welcomed, valued, and respected. Provide on-going verbal communication to families about their child’s development. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.Fraser offers:
