Assistant Teaching Professional

The Assistant Teaching Professional will work closely with the General Manager to promote and conduct golf instruction and player development programs to meet the needs/demands for all golfer segments in the local marketplace.

Rock Manor Golf Course is seeking the services of a passionate and dynamic individual who aspires to be a Top Level Teaching Professional to join our team. The position is full-time, a salaried position including private coaching, junior camps, junior coaching, club fitting, and club sales.

Pay: $15 per hour + commissions

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years’ experience providing golf lessons and developing lesson programs for individuals and groups.
  Experience coaching different levels of golfers
  PGA Professional Certification Required
  Ability to use, or learn to use, launch monitor technology, video swing capture technology, or other related coaching technologies during a lesson session
  Golf equipment sales and club fitting knowledge
  GED or high school diploma
  Social and interpersonal skills required to interact with Members and Guests
  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  Availability to work varied shifts inclusive of - evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Teaches Junior golf programs, Junior Camps, TrackMan Sessions, Club fitting, Private Coaching, On-Course coaching Works closely with the General Manager to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding market Provides golf instruction to private students and group participants as demand dictates and as needed Provides training and development to other instructors as directed and as needed Assists in the Supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition Utilize state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and be able to integrate the use of training aids, video tape and club fitting into the facility’s instructional programs when necessary Participate in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program Represent the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and programs Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
