Job Title Assistant to the Dean Agency Texas A&M University - Central Texas Department College of Business Administration Proposed Minimum Salary $3,657.34 monthly Job Location Killeen, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Works under the general supervision of the Dean and coordinates administrative support for the Dean and all of College of Business Administrative (COBA), including the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance. Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. Responsibilities: + Plans and coordinates administrative support activities and services for the Dean and COBA. Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations, including helping students with advising appointments. Serves as the office manager. + Plans and coordinates COBA meetings, seminars, and other special events, such as reservations, decorations, food, etc. + Helps coordinate programs, projects, or other COBA initiatives the Dean assigns. Monitors project timelines, identifies issues, and provides regular status reports to the Dean. Adapts, combines, and makes improvements to services, processes, or programs. + Coordinates the maintenance of office supplies, equipment, and COBA spaces. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives. + Supervises, trains, and evaluates the work of others, including administrative associates and student workers. Assigns tasks and evaluates job progress + Coordinates office records retention and maintains office references and resource materials. + Coordinates travel arrangements, prepares itineraries, and handles expense reports for the COBA Dean and other administrative staff. + Other duties as assigned Minimum Education and Experience: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Three years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Interpersonal and communication skills. + Planning and organization skills. Salary: $43,888.00 Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am to 5pm. Occasional weeknights and/or weekends. Flexibility is needed to support events hosted by college, especially in the evenings. Supervision of Others: This position generally supervise employees. Work Location: This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be required to work on campus.
