Assistant to the Director, LS Office of Campus Ministry

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Office of Campus Ministry Director, the Assistant to the OCM Director oversees the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the formation program for students and supports the other activities for the various sectors under the care of the OCM.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Student Formation Program Supervision

Supervises formation framework review, module design and revisions for the student formation programs Reviews annual budget proposals for the student formation programs Oversees implementation of student formation programs, gives feedback to CMs in-charge and facilitates consolidation of the student formation program evaluation report Facilitates coordination meetings with the CMs in-charge of the student formation Supports CMs in-charge during meetings with InAF partner offices

2. Administrative Support to the Director

Recommends and implements policies, procedures, and appropriate mechanisms to ensure efficient and effective spiritual formation program offerings and meaningful liturgical celebrations, in support of the university's formation thrusts Assists the Director in coordinating with various Loyola Schools and University offices to foster effective partnerships and strengthen collaboration initiatives Assists the Director in coordinating with and mentoring the campus ministers Represents the office in external affairs and linkages related to students’ spiritual and leadership formation, when necessary

Spiritual Formation for Student Leaders and Student Organizations

Supervises needs assessment and module design of spiritual formation opportunities for student leaders and student organizations Supports CM for Student Organizations and Special Projects in coordinating initiatives and offerings for student leaders/organizations with OSA (HE-LS) Serves as a spiritual companion to student leaders

3. Spiritual Formation for Graduate Students and Specialized Groups

Supervises needs assessment and module design of spiritual formation opportunities for graduate students and specialized groups (e.g., multi-faith, agnostic-atheists, and gender-inclusive groups) Supports CM for Graduate Students and Specialized Groups in coordinating initiatives and offerings for graduate students with the Office of Asst. Vice President for Graduate Education Facilitates sessions for graduate students and specialized groups

4. Retreat Accompaniment

Serves as a guide or facilitator during the retreats of students, faculty, professionals, administrators and non-teaching staff when needed Performs other related tasks assigned by the Director of Campus Ministry
