Autonomous, administration role supporting Underwriters in our Property, Motor and Liability team.

Your new role
Reporting to our Team Leader Administration, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and excellent service delivery. As an Assistant Underwriter your responsibilities will include:
Providing administration support to the Underwriters and the team on insurance policies from new business, Mid Term Adjustments (MTAs), and renewals through to their cancellation or lapse.
Supporting activities such as managing credit control, production of Certificates of Insurance & processing policies and schedules.
Developing good working relationships and ensuring timely communication with all internal customers and stakeholders.

About you
You’ll thrive in a collaborative team environment, taking ownership of your work and making a meaningful impact through your strong administration and customer service skills. You’ll also bring:
Proven experience in an administration role with a sharp eye for detail.
The ability to work well under pressure and use your initiative to make sound decisions.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Confidence using Excel and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
A natural ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Whilst insurance experience is preferred, we welcome applicants from outside the insurance sector who bring transferable skills and a proactive attitude.
