JLL Value and Risk Advisory is seeking to fill an Assistant Valuer position for 2025.

What this job involves

The Assistant Valuer role is a full-time position located in our JLL Canberra office. The Canberra office undertakes a wide range of property valuations with this position to be part of our commercial valuations business. In this role you will be exposed to a wide variety of commercial valuation tasks including residential development.

The Assistant Valuer will have preferably finished studying their degree in Property or an equivalent degree or intends to finish in early 2025.  This person will work well in a team environment and be self-motivated, they will have excellent written and communication skills as well as strong analytical skills and be computer literate preferably in PowerPoint, Excel & Word.

In this role, the Assistant Valuer will work closely with senior team members to assist them with various valuation assignments.  Work includes, but is not limited to, collecting sales and leasing market evidence, report writing, site inspections and financial modelling.

Interested?  An ideal candidate would need to demonstrate the following:

Good eye for attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organisational and process driven skills.Excellent computing skills, including Excel and Word.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven analytical skills.Ability to learn and effectively use new applications.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Knowledge of Forbury and Estate Master valuation modelling programmes.

Employee Specification

Tertiary qualifications in property valuation.Current GAPI status with the Australian Property Institute.Current Open Drivers Licence.The candidate must have a keen interest in the real estate market and a basic understanding of influences in this sector.
