We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Architect to lead our data initiatives and drive the development of a robust and scalable data infrastructure. This role is critical in shaping the future of our data landscape, ensuring that our data architecture aligns with the business goals and enables data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering and architecture, with a strong background in modern data platforms, design patterns, and best practices. Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize data architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of data solutions, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Architect and manage scalable data infrastructure using platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and Azure Fabric.
• Develop and implement a metadata management framework, including data ingestion processes.
• Ensure data privacy and security compliance across all data platforms and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data workflows and infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering team.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data architecture, engineering technologies, and industry best practices.
• Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, quality, and accessibility.
• Develop and maintain data models and documentation for metadata, data dictionaries, and data lineage.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define data strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Implement and oversee ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data systems to ensure efficient data processing.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the data architecture.
• Lead the design and implementation of data security measures, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring.
• Facilitate the integration of data from various sources, ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Drive initiatives to improve data quality, accuracy, and reliability through data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes.
• Develop and enforce standards and best practices for data management and architecture.
• Coordinate with IT and security teams to implement robust data protection mechanisms.
• Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant years of experience in IT, with a significant portion focused on data architecture and engineering.
• Proven technical leadership experience and a track record of driving successful data initiatives.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Relevant years of experience as a Data Architect.
• At least 2 end to end implementations of data solutions.
• Proficiency in metadata management frameworks and data ingestion processes.
• Extensive knowledge of various data platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and Azure Fabric.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and data privacy standards.
• Strong understanding of data platform design patterns and best practices.
• Experience with data modeling techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools for data integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and technologies.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead data initiatives from concept to completion.
• Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their integration with data platforms is a plus.
