Position Summary: As the Assistant Vice President within the Finance, Grants, and Program Management organization at Tidal Basin, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective utilization of grant funds while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements, including addressing Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) risks. Your leadership will encompass broad grants compliance, program management, and compliance oversight & monitoring experience, directly impacting federal programs, housing/healthcare initiatives, and community development efforts. Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership and Vision:
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic vision for grants compliance and monitoring services.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to align grant management practices with organizational goals and client needs.
Grant Compliance Oversight and Financial Expertise:
+ Lead a team of compliance specialists to monitor grant usage across various programs.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including federal program guidelines.
+ Dive into financial data to identify discrepancies, assess accounting practices, and optimize fund allocation.
Risk Mitigation and Quality Assurance:
+ Identify potential risks related to grant management and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies.
+ Conduct regular risk assessments, implement corrective actions, and maintain quality assurance processes.
+ Uphold the highest standards of compliance excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building:
+ Engage with government agencies, nonprofit partners, and funding organizations.
+ Foster strong relationships to facilitate communication, collaboration, and successful grant outcomes.
+ Represent Tidal Basin as a trusted advisor in industry forums and conferences.
Business Development and Pipeline Management:
+ Leverage your network and expertise to identify new business opportunities.
+ Collaborate with the business development team to expand Tidal Basin’s client base.
+ Develop and nurture a robust pipeline of potential projects.
SLED (State, Local, and Education) Experience:
+ Demonstrate a deep understanding of SLED grant programs and compliance requirements.
+ Navigate the complexities of working with government entities at the state and local levels.
Corporate Compliance:
+ Completion of all required training upon hire, and annually thereafter or more frequently as deemed necessary.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and pipeline development.
+ In-depth knowledge of federal grant regulations (e.g., OMB Uniform Guidance) and housing/healthcare programs.
+ Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner.
+ Experience developing client proposals and RFP responses.
+ Analytical skills, oral and written communication skills, organization and planning skills, problem solving and reasoning skills.
+ Ability to be productive in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional work environment.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
+ 10+ years in federal, state, or local program/project management or other federally-funded grants compliance and monitoring experience.
+ 15+ years of management experience.
+ Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
+ 10+ years of federally-funded healthcare compliance oversight experience preferred.
