Assistant Vice President

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Support Services team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Hong Kong. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

Promptly issue statements and manage the collection of receivables and payment of payables to secure outstanding fiduciary balances.Drive personal cash processing and fiduciary targets, utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for highly complex accounts to facilitate accurate reporting from the CSS Dashboard and other system tools.Manage an assigned portfolio of Market/Client accounts, ensuring all deadlines are met and time-sensitive activities, including cash allocation, collections of brokerage, and billing resolutions, are addressed within defined parameters.Engage in regular dialogue and maintain frequent personal interactions with Market/Client contacts to resolve payment and collection issues of moderate complexity.Provide detailed information on the collection/remittance process to support Request for Proposal (RFP) initiatives and sales opportunities.Lead the gathering of inputs for the evolution of the operational model at moderately complex levels, driving new process improvement ideas and leveraging technology solutions.Cultivate and manage relationships with Brokers, Clients, and Markets to understand issues, resolve problems, and review working practices effectively.Facilitate strategic team meetings and activities to encourage the sharing of opinions, ideas, knowledge, and solutions, fostering opportunities for team learning and development.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial operations within the reinsurance industry .Proven ability to manage complex accounts and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong client relationships.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage technology for process improvements.Proficient in writing and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
