Assistant Vice President- Finance & Accounting Transformation Lead

Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President- Finance Accounting Transformation Lead

As a Transformation Lead at Genpact, you will play a critical role in transforming and redesigning processes to drive operational excellence, compliance, and efficiency for global clients. You will leverage your expertise in process due diligence, solution identification, finance transformations, and digital tools to deliver impactful outcomes.

This role demands a strong strategic mindset, deep domain knowledge, and hands-on experience in processes, process improvement frameworks, and innovative digital solutions like BlackLine, HighRadius, ServiceNow, Celonis, Xelix, and Basware.

Responsibilities

Process Due Diligence and Benchmarking: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing FA processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement, benchmark client processes against industry standards and best-in-class practices to assess gaps and design optimized solutions, map and document as-is and to-be processes, ensuring clear alignment with transformation goals.

Solution Identification and Transformation Leadership: Identify, evaluate, and implement strategic solutions to optimize processes, leveraging tools like:

BlackLine for automated reconciliations and close management.

HighRadius for AR/AP automation and cash management.

ServiceNow for issue resolution workflows and process governance.

Celonis for process mining, performance analysis, and bottleneck identification.

Xelix for anomaly detection and AP control automation.

Basware for invoice processing, AP automation, and spend management.

Recommend and implement AI-driven solutions, RPA tools, and analytics platforms to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Lead and manage end-to-end transformation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, digital experts, finance controllers, and compliance leaders, to drive seamless implementation of solutions.

Strategic Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between finance operations, technology teams, and clients to align transformation initiatives with organizational objectives, facilitate stakeholder discussions and workshops to identify client-specific challenges, solutions, and change management strategies, provide regular updates on project progress, roadblocks, and success metrics to leadership and client stakeholders.

Change Management and Innovation: Drive change adoption through structured communication, training, and handholding during the transition, lead initiatives to embed a culture of continuous improvement within processes, focusing on operational effectiveness, risk mitigation, and reporting accuracy; Innovate and pilot cutting-edge technologies in collaboration with Genpact’s Digital Transformation teams.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering etc. An MBA degree or professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA) is preferred.

Relevant years of experience in finance operations

Proven experience in leading large-scale finance transformation projects and process optimizations.

Exposure to digital tools and platforms, including BlackLine, HighRadius, ServiceNow, Celonis, Xelix, Basware, or similar solutions.

Experience working with global clients and multi-location delivery models.

Hands on Experience of digital implementation (AI, ML, GenAI)

Experience in similar ITeS firms like Accenture, TCS, Cognizant etc will be preferred

Strong understanding of finance processes across S2P, R2R, I2C

Proficiency in digital finance tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).

Process improvement certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt) are a significant advantage.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent project management capabilities with a track record of delivering complex projects successfully.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage at C-level and across teams.
