The position of Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager (“PM”) is responsible for identifying and underwriting syndicated and middle market Leveraged Loans. The PM performs a variety of functions including investment research, industry research, building financial models for prospects, maintaining financial models for portfolio, making recommendations and participating in team credit discussion.What we are looking for:
Performs assessment and analysis of financial conditions and risk of financing requests within framework of the team’s credit culture and current economic and industry trends
Gathers and analyzes all information necessary to present financing requests to senior management
Approves loan payments, draws from lines of credit within specified limits
Understands the business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability
Participates with senior management in developing, analyzing, and finalizing major and complex loan agreements with representatives of large businesses
Participates in various internal committees assigned by senior management
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a four (4) year college or university
Four (4) years or more of Credit and Underwriting experience
Progress toward, or interest in, obtaining the CFA designation
Bloomberg experience a plus
Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in the High Yield or Syndicated Loan markets.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $100,300.00 - $122,358.00 for Los Angeles, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.Benefits you’ll love:
