We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President- Regulatory Risk and compliance
Principal responsibilities
As a member of the Compliance CoE team, the role holder will support the in-country businesses majorly mortgages in the following areas:Execute the HSBC Risk Stewardship responsibilities in mortgages business including compliance related advice, timely identification, assessment, recording and escalation of Compliance risks and issues.Provide support to the assessment of Compliance breaches and issues.Provide guidance / advice on the interpretation of Compliance rules and standards including regulatory changes. Attend functional and LoB governance meetings as relevant to their responsibilities or as delegate of their line manager from time to time.Collaborate with Compliance team members across WPB to present a “one-WPB” team. Represent Compliance in key LoB governance, project and team meetings.Support the head of the team to provide timely and constructive advice and challenge to 1LoD stakeholders on Compliance risks.Manage and prioritise your day-to-day works task to ensure efficient use of time.Work closely with the other UK WPB Compliance colleagues, and members of the wider Compliance function as required.Some careers have more impact than others.
