4 Year Degree Assistant Volleyball Coach (9 month appointment): The position of Assistant Volleyball Coach will hold a 50% appointment in the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (“the Department”) and will report directly to UWL’s Head Volleyball Coach. The Assistant Coach will assist in the management of daily operations of a Division III intercollegiate volleyball program competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in the planning, recruiting, coaching, developing, implementing, and administering of the volleyball program to meet University and Department objectives. They will also be responsible for various administrative tasks associated with running an intercollegiate volleyball program, potentially including, but not limited to, the planning of team travel; managing equipment and/or video and technology needs; and coordinating camps. The Assistant Coach must conduct themselves in such a way as to enhance respect for the university, the Department, UWL volleyball program and UWL student athletes.Facilities & Events Coordinator (10 month appointment): The Facilities & Events Coordinator will hold a 50% appointment on a 10 month basis and is an essential member of the Athletics department staff as they will administer all aspects of home events and special departmental events in addition to assist in the managing of the Athletic Facilities. This position requires that the Facilities & Events Coordinator effectively communicate with all staff members to create the highest quality home event environment for the 21 intercollegiate teams including all post-season events.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or relevant professional experience may be substituted on a year for year basis in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. Volleyball coaching or playing experience at high school, club, or collegiate level. Possess a valid driver’s license. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Preferred Qualifications Understand or, and commitment to, the NCAA Division III ideal. Knowledge of NCAA Division III and WIAC rules. Experience working with diverse populations. Collegiate coaching or playing experience. Collegiate recruiting experience.
