4 Year Degree Are you passionate about coaching and helping student-athletes achieve their full potential both on and off the court? St. Ambrose University is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Athletics Department as an Assistant Volleyball Coach. The successful candidate will have coaching responsibilities in volleyball, and assist in the recruitment of the men’ and women’s volleyball programs.Key Responsibilities: •Assist the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations of both the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball programs, including but not limited to: practice planning, game preparation, recruiting, and team management. •Work closely with student-athletes to develop skills, improve performance, and foster team unity. •Contribute to strategy development for both individual players and team play, ensuring consistent progression. •Participate in coaching during practices and games, providing constructive feedback and instruction. •Assist in recruiting qualified student-athletes to join the volleyball program. •Collaborate with the athletic department to ensure the overall well-being and academic success of student-athletes. •Ensure compliance with NAIA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations. •Support team travel logistics, as needed, including organizing transportation and accommodations for away games. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree (required). •Previous experience as a volleyball coach (preferably at the collegiate level). •Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and player development. •Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. •Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. •Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations (preferred). •A commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
