A Typical Day The Assistant Vice President Claims will oversee the management of the post-foreclosure claims team. As the AVP Claims, you will develop and maintain a control environment that includes policies, procedures, quality assurance, and operational routines to ensure compliance with mortgage insurance (MI), investor, insurer, and internal guidelines. The Assistant VP Claims will: Maximize recovery through effective and efficient processes Maximize recovery through HUD's CWCOT 2nd Chance program Perform portfolio management functions for Post Sale Final Title Packages per investor guidleines Minimize risk to Pennymac's lien position by comprehesive HOA management Minimize investor, insurer and company losses via development; of required process and control infrastructure Develop formal business plans for the team, including individual and team goals and performance measurements Perform loss analysis and develop and maintain loss models Interface with key stakeholders in the process including: cash management, investor accounting and transaction management Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of relevant work experience Previous management experience required; process management experience a plus Default-related experience; knowledge of post-foreclosure claims activity preferred Knowledgeable in GSE and insurer (MI, FHA, USDA, and VA) servicing guidelines Proficient in MS Office, MS Access, and Visio Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
