Roles & Responsibilities:
This is an infrastructure design position with minimum 10 years’ experience. Ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate in-depth Datacenter & Public Cloud (AWS) Infrastructure Deployment & Design experience with adherence to best practices wherever suitable. Also, should be able to handle the assigned portfolio as per Novartis function.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Create and lead solution designs for internal customers and help scoping of requirements to meet business needs.Develop project rationale and perform scoping assessments to determine feasibility of projectsMust be able to handle the assigned portfolio as per Novartis Function and manage multiple project simultaneously.Will be required to interact with various stakeholders at the business functional level and provide assistance on any infrastructure-related issues in collaboration with teams.Understand the business requirements, design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions as per Novartis Infrastructure standardsProficiency on AWS services like EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, EBS, EFS, ASG, IAM, ELB, Data sync, Route53, EKS, ECS etc.,Ensure overall user experience is taken into account when designing and deploying new solutions and servicesEnsure implemented solutions are according to specifications and fit for purposeEnsure designs produced adhere to architectural roadmap and support the development, execution and operations of software/serviceExperience in the entire rack stack (e.g. storage, compute, Unix, Windows, virtualization, containerization, networking for traditional datacenters as well as public cloud)Strong experience on LAN, WAN, and related networking concepts around Private and public cloud connectivityUnderstanding of GxP compliance environment would be an added benefitTranslate the business requirement in a presentable manner in-line with organizational standardsPlays a key leading role in ensuring the successful end-to-end infrastructure solutionProvides technical guidance and support throughout engagement.Hands on experience in the related areas is required. Participate in various PoC’s to provide solution around leading edge technologies.Adoption & getting to the expert level with the usage of tools like Confluence, MPP, Draw.io, PowerPoint.Leverage existing experience within & outside the organization that the candidate has gathered to bring the best to the team.Qualifications:
Candidate with bachelor’s degree and around 10 yrs. experience with strong technical backgroundProven experience as an AWS Solution Architect and DevOps, preferably within the life sciences industryExperience in infrastructure architecture and design of complex, hybrid infrastructure solutions including PaaS, IaaS and on premises datacenter.Must be able to work on large and complete projects in matrix environment covering wider spectrum of technologies.Candidate with strong communication and presentation skills in order to foster effective collaboration with business partners and internal teams.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards applicable to the life sciences industry, such as GxP, HIPAA and FDA regulations.Candidate should be flexible to accommodate the global working hoursAWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is an added advantageAbility to work independently in the ad hoc environmentWhy Novartis?
