OverviewReporting to the VP, Strategy and Corporate Development, the Associate, Corporate Development will be responsible for driving HireRight’s strategic growth and transformation initiatives. This position is responsible for helping to lead transaction and partnership due diligence, developing comprehensive financial models, valuation analyses, presentation materials, as well as a variety of other tasks to facilitate the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of M&A transactions as well as to inform corporate strategy decisions.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent quantitative and financial modeling skills, be a self-starter and demonstrate strong business acumen. The ideal candidate will have M&A transaction experience, including relevant experience in corporate development, private equity, or investment banking.
Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of the M&A and investment process, including strategic planning, market/sector/target evaluation, outbound business development, financial modeling, due diligence, deal negotiation, board material preparation, and integration efforts.Support communications to senior leadership and private equity investors throughout all phases of an M&A transaction from strategy formation through deal executionSupport the regular updating and reporting of the corporate development pipelineConduct rigorous market and financial analysis, including business case and financial modeling, to present recommendations on potential acquisitions, investments, and other strategic growth opportunities.Assist in the integration of M&A opportunities, coordinating with leaders across the enterprise to assess integration opportunities and track overall progress.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to senior leadership.Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required 2-5 years of relevant M&A experience required (including investment banking, corporate development, and/or private equity). Experience in corporate transactions (mergers & acquisitions or other strategic transactions like partnerships) and merger integration is a plus. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.Experience managing M&A deal processes through the deal execution lifecycleClear and effective communication, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex information concisely to leadersProficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Superior quantitative and analytical skills with financial modeling experience.Self-starter with a strong work ethic and an ability to work independently.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering high-quality results on timeWhat do we offer
