Job Description:
Develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial planning and analysis. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. Provides analysis of profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Responsible for coordinating and consolidating large amounts of data, in many aspects of the finance routine. Prepares and leads the Segment program consolidation tool (FCSTGov) for Divisions and Sector.
Essential Functions:
+ Prepare all Financial Planning and Analysis reporting as required by Finance
+ Develops key analytics describing business changes, etc.
+ Recommend changes to standard reporting to better highlight key business issues and concerns
+ Support and continuously improve the Monthly Financial Review (MFR) process
+ Support and build relationships with key users in multiple functional areas
+ Highlight risk on orders, revenue, operating income, and cash flow for quarter and full year
+ Drive the Segment financial analysis reporting tool (FCSTGov) for monthly reporting (Forecast and Actuals), drive all reconciliation of Orders, Sales, Profit, Program Working Capital, and various attributes
+ Support and assist with Quarterly Operations Review, Annual Operating Plan, and Joint Strategic Plan
+ Understand and incorporate the entire financial picture in all analysis and reporting above
+ Orders and revenue, but also cash, balance sheet, net working capital, etc.
+ Prepare, coordinate, and consolidate various downstream scheduled and ad-hoc analyses and reports with expectation to propose solutions to problems for others review
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration or related field
Preferred Skills:
+ Intermediate MS Excel skills
+ Able to create and maintain spreadsheets and financial models with complex formulas with data manipulation; able to consolidate high amounts of data
+ Able to create complex charts and graphs
+ Able to use or learn Visual Basic for template maintenance and automation of other activities (macros)
+ Intermediate to proficient knowledge of PowerBI; ability to utilize Snowflake an asset
+ HFM and SmartView reporting writing an asset
+ Strong analytical, problem solving, and data organization / interpretation skills
+ Financial modeling and financial statement analysis skills
+ Continuous improvement mindset and suggests continuous improvement activities / initiatives
