Job Description

The Associate will work closely with the both real estate and infrastructure and renewable power & transition FMT leadership. The main focus of the role is to support the ongoing strategic fundraising for Brookfield’s perpetual, open-end real estate and infrastructure funds, ensuring all stakeholders in the organization contribute their expertise into the design and execution of the fundraising strategy and coordination of all stakeholder groups in delivering their respective roles.

In this role, the Associate will:

Work with FMT leadership to develop and implement fundraising strategy for generating investor interest and driving momentum, working closely with the global Client Relationship Managers to meet quarterly and annual fundraising objectives.

Proactively monitor and tactically adapt and adjust the fundraise strategy as circumstances change.

Facilitate key decisions throughout fundraise process with all stakeholder groups.

Prepare fundraise updates and participate in GCG and business group investment team leadership meetings , as required.

Facilitate communication/collaboration with Diligence Management, Marketing & Content, Client Relationship Management, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance & Operations and the Investment Teams.

Collect direct market feedback from the global Client Relationship Management team and implement this information into the fundraising strategy.  

Proactively create and manage fund-specific marketing materials, including offering memoranda, investor presentations, case studies, fact sheets and other documents related to private funds.

Facilitate the planning of road shows, conferences, thought leadership and other fundraise/marketing focused events or communications.

Build knowledge database for the open end private funds and limited partner landscape.

Ability to communicate the client background, underwriting status and future process of specific Brookfield prospective investors on a global basis to senior leaders at the firm

Identify issues and proactively manage risk.

Qualifications Required:

Post graduate degree in finance, business management or another relevant discipline

Experience Required:

4 to 7 years of experience in fundraising for private fund strategies, including closed ended funds

Demonstrated understanding of the LP landscape and preferences, styles and requirements across key regions and investor types

Strong strategy/product knowledge and ability to communicate (internally) details of fund and fundraise approach

Strong financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience.

Strong global stakeholder management experience.

Experience in high volume processes and technology enabled solutions.

Experience in private markets, real assets such as infrastructure or real estate strongly preferred.

Institutional fund marketing sales and support experience strongly preferred.

Ability to read, speak and write fluent English.

Advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

alary Range: $120K - $160K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
