Associates play a critical role on the Origination team, with responsibilities such as: performing complex financial modeling; conducting industry and company research and analysis; developing client presentations; writing internal and external marketing materials; and performing other tasks supporting client relationships and business development. Origination Team Support** + Support senior coverage team members by providing a variety of administrative and analytical tasks as assigned, such as preparation of client marketing materials, client revenue reporting, maintenance of contacts database, and the tracking and update of periodic trading or sales metrics B. Client Support + Route client calls appropriately and respond quickly/accurately to client questions. + Assist senior staff in the research and resolution of administrative/operational issues. + Coordinate conference calls, client events, and meetings. + Maintain a proactive, client service focus in order to meet their needs and increase revenue for the Bank. + Act as point person to provide client support in the form of proposals, marketing material, event planning, and scheduling with the cooperation of trading and sales, research, and marketing with the support of senior marketing staff. + Respond to inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in a professional manner and determine acceptable solutions. **Transaction Modelling / Financial Analysis** + Research and analyze financial and operating information relating to companies and industries. + Research and analyze financial market data; summarize data for recent trends and market developments. + Perform complex financial modeling. + Assist in the structuring and analysis of corporate risk management products. **CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS** This role requires the incumbent to interact with the following processes and/or groups: + Corporate and Commercial Clients + I&CB and P&C Coverage and Portfolio Management + Other Global Markets Groups + Marketing + Compliance + Legal **SCOPE AND IMPACT** This role has direct or indirect impact on the following: The work product directly involves front-line revenue generation, impacts the growth initiatives within the Business Unit, impacts client exposures and multiple other aspects of market risk. The Analyst will contribute to the team through delivery of complex financial modeling which will have a direct impact on strategic recommendations to clients. This ultimately results in significant revenue generation for the Business Unit **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS** Knowledge: + An undergraduate degree with outstanding academic achievement. + Specific academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting with outstanding academic achievement. + Strong understanding of, and keen interest in, the operation of the financial markets and corporate capital structure theory. + Relevant experience for for individuals hired into 2nd or 3rd year slots. + Individuals typically maintain this role for 1-3 years before advancement to the next level. Skills: + Excellent analytical skills to include business, financial, and credit analysis areas. + Highly skilled in building complex financial models. + Highly developed written and oral communication skills. + Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools especially Excel and PowerPoint. + Skilled in creating statistical presentations. + Ability to be creative, insightful and resourceful in performance of duties. + Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment. + Strong ability to attentively review, assess, and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner. + Excellent capability to independently function as part of a team through self-motivation. Base Salary for this role is $125,000 USD **Salary:** **Pay Type:** Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
