BlackRock Manager Research (“BMR”) is a global team responsible for sourcing and selecting investment managers across public and private asset classes for use in client portfolios. BMR generates alpha through disciplined manager research, selection and monitoring, with dedicated investment professionals across three specialized pillars: Investment Due Diligence (“IDD”), Operational Due Diligence (“ODD”) and Quantitative Due Diligence (“QDD”), where we analyze data, trends, and strategies to ensure our clients’ investments thrive.

Your Role:
As an Associate on our Investment Due Diligence team in London, your mission will be to help us find the best investment managers, understand their strategies, and monitor their performance with the goal of helping our clients meet their investment goals. This is role perfect for someone with a specific focus on underwriting quantitative investment strategies, a passion for investments and a strong drive for success. What You'll Do:
Evaluate new investment opportunitiesAssist in both quantitative and qualitative analysis of prospective investmentsWork closely with senior professionals, including Portfolio Managers, on investment due diligence including onsite visits, analysis, and the preparation and presentation of investment recommendationsConduct deep dive analysis on underlying portfolio investmentsBuild and maintain professional network contacts, identify and evaluate news articles and research reports for pertinent information, and provide the Research team with timely and informative data pointsMonitor funds post investmentHelp prepare for and participate in manager meetings and callsHelp prepare broader strategy- and portfolio-level reviews with Portfolio Managers and other senior professionalsParticipate in the collection, synthesis, and dissemination of information captured through interacting with external investment managers and being a student of the marketsBuild an in-depth understanding of a range of investment strategies and associated instruments, but with a primary focus on long / short equity strategiesDevelop an understanding of the capital markets in which the investment strategies operateWhat You Offer:
Experience and Expertise: 3-5 years' of experience in a similar role or industry is phenomenal! In depth knowledge of quantitative strategies is helpful, but we are mostly we’re interested in your curiosity and passion for investments.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
