**What You’ll Be Doing**
CIBC’s Global Markets business focuses on delivering expert financial and economic analysis and savvy deal-making capabilities to clients in Canada and around the world. The Global Markets team supports fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, derivatives, equities, and growth markets and is focused on building a strong, innovative relationship-oriented bank.
Join the **Alternate Solutions Group (ASG)** as an Associate and make a meaningful impact for our clients. Within CIBC Global Markets, the ASG team specializes in developing innovative, technology-driven capital markets solutions. This unique group combines the agility and innovative spirit of a FinTech startup with the financial strength and governance protocols of a major financial institution. ASG is recognized as a global leader in providing disruptive technological solutions across various product areas, including Cross Border Payments, Dynamic Currency Conversion, and Foreign Cash white labeling. Our diverse client base includes some of the largest banks in the world, corporations, and CIBC’s retail clients.
As an Associate, you’ll be part of the Conversion Services team, a leading FX product portfolio in ASG. This team helps to enable international cardholders to pay in their local currency through various channels. These optional services provide foreign cardholders with the transparency of knowing exactly how much they will be debited. Since its inception, the product team has built partnerships with 30+ financial institutions to enable this white label solution on 100,000+ ATMs worldwide. Your key mandates will be helping to define and build product features for the business and drive execution through team collaboration.

**How You'll Succeed**
We are looking for energetic individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit to help build our Conversion Services business. You will work in a fast-paced environment as part of a dynamic, hard-working, execution-focused product team.
+ **Analytics & Strategic Solution Development:** You’ll leverage your analytical and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions by collaborating with stakeholders to understand business, user, and customer challenges. You’ll assist in defining business requirements, success metrics, and product features while working closely with business system analysts, design, technology teams, and various product and project members to ensure alignment and effective solution delivery. Your responsibilities will include identifying, analyzing, and interpreting patterns in complex data sets to provide insightful recommendations on growth opportunities and business initiatives. Additionally, you will conduct comprehensive research to identify business trends, document key processes and procedures, and support the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management. You will also be responsible for validating key business requirements and features during the Pilot/Post Implementation verification phases of the project lifecycle **.**
+ **Product & Process Improvement:** You’ll conduct research and leverage your experience with payment industry trends, benchmarks, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights and recommendations. You’ll perform in-depth analyses of penetration, attrition, priority segment performance, and identify areas of opportunity. Collaborating with team members on innovation projects, you will help implement new solutions and technologies to enhance the client experience. Additionally, you will assist with product launches, monitor campaign performance, review existing portfolios, and provide recommendations for optimization.
+ **Relationship Management & Delivery:** You’ll support team members through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and effective problem-solving to achieve common business goals. Utilizing your well-developed interpersonal skills, you will take complex concepts and present them in easily understandable written and graphical formats, using spreadsheets, presentation software, and web tools. You’ll effectively communicate your insights, translating them into meaningful observations for diverse audiences while demonstrating strong verbal and presentation skills. Additionally, you will be adaptive, capable of working independently with guidance from management, and thriving in a dynamic team environment.
**Who You Are**
+ **You have an undergraduate university** **degree** in business, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or related field, MBA is an asset.
+ **You can demonstrate 3-5 years’ experience** working in capital markets, foreign exchange, payments, and financial technology.
+ **You can demonstrate 3+ years of professional experience** with a strong record of accomplishment of stakeholder relationship building and management, business analysis, and project execution. Previous management consulting, capital markets, and product management experience in FX payments is an asset.
