About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 08 The Role: Associate, Quantitative Analysis Team: The Data Science and Modelling team is responsible for creating and maintaining end to end AI/ML/statistical solutions catering to multiple assets across commodity markets. The team works from across different global offices, including India, Singapore, Mexico, and US. The candidate will be joining a global team where they would be able to collaborate, architect and deepen their domain and technical knowledge using multiple disciplines of AI. Impact: The candidate is expected to conduct structured and unstructured data analysis and modeling for original and non-routine business problems in a timely, accurate and insightful manner and combine this analysis with their understanding of the projects at hand to provide a solution. In this role the candidate will provide vital support in the data product development initiatives in Data Science and modelling. The day-to-day job requires undertaking all the activities associated with these efforts including data sourcing, data collation, data analysis, model running and results collation. The candidate will need to work independently/collaboratively under tight deadlines to consistently produce high quality work including data verification, data analysis results, presentation materials and interim deliverables, for which in all cases will have full accountability. Daily routine would require candidate to conduct from data foundational work to a systematic data product. Responsibilities Delivers high quality data collation/analysis, modeling work that meets the needs and expectations of project owner. Understand the definition of alternative data and the related insights it leads to the business opportunities. Quality check data using internal tools and resolve data defects. Assist in ad-hoc research activities. Basic Qualifications B.Tech CSE/IT or master's in data science/economics/computing or relevant disciplines 1-2 years of programming experience in R/Python Preferably some previous relevant background/experience in financial time series data Quantitative skills in data engineering, data science, machine learning, statistics, optimization and/or econometrics are highly desirable The ability to analyze original, non-routine analytical/business problems in a timely and insightful manner. Proficient in MS Excel. Familiarity with SQL/Tableau is a plus.
