Associate, Retail Value & Risk Advisory

We are looking for an Associate to join our Retail Value & Risk advisory team based in our London Offices.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting property valuations of retail assets (e.g., shopping centers, high street retail, retail warehouses) for a variety of purposes including loan security, financial reporting, and investment analysis.Analyzing market data, including comparable sales, lease information, and economic trends, to support valuation conclusions.Preparing detailed valuation reports that clearly articulate the valuation methodology, assumptions, and conclusions.Undertaking property inspections and gathering relevant information on-site.Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, including property owners, investors, and lenders.Assisting senior team members with business development activities, including preparing proposals and presentations.Staying up-to-date on trends and developments in the retail sector and the broader real estate market.Working collaboratively with other members of the Value & Risk Advisory team and other departments within the company.Contributing to the development of best practices and valuation methodologies.

Skills & Experience:

MRICS qualification (or working towards) is preferred.Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.Proven experience in commercial property valuation, with a focus on the retail sector.Strong understanding of valuation principles and methodologies.Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Knowledge of relevant valuation software and databases (e.g., Argus Enterprise, CoStar) is a plus.A passion for the retail sector and a desire to learn and grow within the role.
