Purpose of Job (brief summary)
Assist with the administration of risk management and insurance.
Primary Job Roles/Responsibilities
Maintain various databases, including OCIP programs, certificates of insurance distribution, OSHA recordkeeping. Support various risk management and safety project initiatives.Assist with the general insurance and risk management inquiries from internal and external clients.Maintain policy documentation; Perform various claim reporting tasks including preparation of periodic claim reports for workers’ compensation, automobile liability, general liability and property.Supports workers’ compensation case management and tracking by facilitating resolutions of claims and acting as a liaison between employees, management and insurance carriers. Demonstrate clear understanding of coverage and legal issues and possess the ability to utilize these skills in order to influence the outcome of claim issues.Assist in the development and analysis of renewal exposure information including completion of applications and specifications.Support and participate in claim audits by compiling and analyzing insurance exposure and/or loss information.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the job (Minimum)
Technical knowledge of risk management and insurance principles preferredStrong analytical skills and creative problem solving skillsStrong leadership, communication and organizational skills preferredAbility to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects / task for timely completion in a fast-paced environmentStrong Computer Skills: MS Office, Data Base, 3rd Party SW SystemsFluent Knowledge to Speak / Write English LanguageSupport contract reviews for insurance, surety or bond updates as needed on various contract submitted.Yearly insurance review of certificates types/files and check system for email dispersal of certificates (3000 + certificates).
Education /Experience Requirements
Education Level*: Bachelor’s Degree *Or equivalent work experience
Relevant Work Experience (quantity): 1 – 3 Years
Experience Specifics (if applicable): Risk Management and Insurance; completion of CPCU, ARM or similar coursework a plus
