About this Role
We are looking for an Associate to join the Commercial Strategy & Strategic Partnerships team within our SMA Solutions business unit. The Commercial Strategy & Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for leading commercial strategy efforts for the business, driving new and innovative product solutions, and engaging with our largest and most complex strategic partners. The Associate position will be responsible for project management, sales activation, and execution of commercial priorities for the business. A strong team player is critical, as they will work creatively and collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments, such as Portfolio Management, Sales, Research, Operations, Marketing and COO.
Key Responsibilities:
Help lead key projects and execution on commercial prioritiesCoordinate and manage cross-functional projects, meetings, working groupsProvide accurate and timely data analysis and analytical supportDevelop and execute on Sales Activation strategy and SMA campaignsSupport and help organize product development initiatives and platform launchesPartner with Global Product, US Wealth, and Institutional client teams to ensure appropriate positioning of SMA Solutions within broader firm initiatives and product campaignsWork collaboratively and coordinate with partners within BlackRock to meet project deadlines and goalsEffectively balance strategic and ad hoc projectsQualifications:
Demonstrated project management and organizational skillsAbility to lead large, cross-functional virtual teamsFlexible, responsive, and self-starting personality. Demonstrated experience working both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative, complex environmentA genuine inclination for quantitative analysis and the ability to work through complex problems and challenges to provide innovative insightsExperience with retail financial advisor industry and familiarity with separately managed accounts a strong plusStrong time management, organizational and problem solving skills including ability to manage projects independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skills along with demonstrated analytical abilityEffective public speaking and communication skillsEagerness to learn and understand all aspects of the SMA businessRequirements:
2-5 years of relevant asset management industry experience with some Separately Managed Account (SMA) experience preferredBA/BS degree requiredProject Management experience preferredAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPointNASD series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses preferredOur benefits

Our hybrid work model
