We are seeking an individual to fill an Associate role on the Estate Administration Team based in our Nashville headquarters. This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to be on the forefront of an important strategic initiative that will provide national exposure across our Private Wealth Management business. The Estate Admin Team Associate will be a part of a centralized team specializing in estate administration for private wealth clients across all Bernstein Private Wealth offices, and they will partner with the local sales and service team to manage the entire process from beginning to end.
Their expertise will be key to ensuring clients experience a smooth transition during an often difficult and confusing time in their lives.
Key responsibilities include the following:
Guide clients through estate administration for assets at Bernstein and outside of Bernstein
Coordinate client authorization for all estate-related transactions: account openings & closings, asset transfers & distributions, portfolio allocations, cost basis updates, etc.
Partner with Legal and IRA Specialists to interpret trusts, wills, letters testamentary, power of attorney agreements, court documents, etc.
Communicate directly with beneficiaries’ attorneys and accountants
Build trust & creditability with colleagues and teams across our business to uphold client service excellence
Prepare and present consultative observations & updates to senior management
Opportunity to earn additional certifications in estate administration (e.g. Chartered Trust and Estate Planning (CTEP), Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), etc.)

The Program is designed to build a foundation of investment knowledge and develop the quantitative and qualitative skills needed to achieve long-term stability and success, regardless of your incoming background. Components of the Associate Development Program include:
In-depth industry training on proprietary investments, services, policies and procedures
Advanced training on trusts & estates, wealth planning, investment management philosophies, and financial management strategies
A focus on client service excellence, partnership and sales training in order to provide an exceptional client experience
Behavioral training geared toward the development of communication, leadership, and other professional skills
Career management, one-on-one coaching, and specialized skills training to achieve success beyond the Associate role

Has the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with excellence in academics
1+ years financial services industry experience
FINRA licenses: SIE, Series 7 and Series 63
Proficiency in Word and Excel
