Medical Evidence Practice (MEP)

Our Consultants within the  Medical Evidence Practice, support the expansion of patients' access to innovative medicines by strategically planning, generating and disseminating high quality medical evidence.

We do this by designing and delivering innovative, technology-enabled evidence programs for the pharmaceutical industry. We apply scientific rigor and advanced analytics to real world data in order to help our clients improve population health. Your Role

As an Associate you will be working in a non-hierarchical, collaborative environment where you will be collaborating closely with senior and junior team members to support team’s business development and delivery efforts. You will usually be staffed on 1-3 projects in parallel ensuring a broad exposure to the wide range of IQVIA offerings. Your analytical, inter-personal, critical thinking, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one.

Responsibilities

Performing qualitative & quantitative analyses to identify key client issues, translating the data into meaningful insights and communicating recommendations to key decision makers

Supporting the preparation, execution and follow up of client meetings and workshops

Participating in the development of project approach and methodologies

Conducting independent desk research to specific briefs using internal and external sources

Working in a team of like-minded professionals to create reports, presentations, and other client deliverables under the guidance of “the best on the business” team leaders

Assisting in the development of proposals for clients

Supporting internal initiatives around IQVIA's broad RWE strategy and own M&A activities

Developing your knowledge of consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical market through on-the-job exposure and formal and informal training.

Provide project support and gain experience across multiple parts of the Real World Consulting organisation including: secondary data offering; medical affairs, payer and access, and integrated evidence strategy

Qualifications and experience:

Minimum BA/BSc with a strong academic track record in life sciences, technology, maths, engineering, economics, business or other related field

1-2 years previous experience in the health care industry and/or consulting is a plus

Good commercial awareness/business judgement and a passion for the healthcare/
life sciences industry

Proven analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills

Strong ability to build long-lasting relations and credibility with external and internal contacts

Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, meeting and workshop facilitation, business and report writing

Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge and thinking

Full professional proficiency in oral and written English

Strong IT literacy e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel

A willingness and ability to travel

Important information:

The role is available in hybrid format (working 1 day per week from our office in Lisbon)

Permanent right to work full time in Portugal is mandatory (we're not able to sponsor visas)

The role is available as of late March
