Job Duties: Associate, Internal Product Specialists with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York.
May work remote one (1) day per week within commuting distance of New York, NY. Direct Corporate, Structured Product, Emerging Markets, Sovereign, and Municipal asset allocation and trading for GS Fixed Income Insurance clients. Collaborate with other LPMs to develop trade ideas to enhance portfolio composition and income profile. Design, execute and manage rotation trade programs, working with sector PMs, researchers and traders. Work with Senior Insurance PMs to ensure cash is appropriately spent or raised in response to client strategic direction/instruction. Work with Client Relationship Managers and Sales teams to address bespoke and recurring requests. Coordinate with key stakeholders across the Division including Portfolio Managers, Product Managers, Legal, Technology, Operations and Compliance with a common goal of meeting clients’ needs. Review and sign off on materials for recurring or bespoke client meetings. Identify and escalate any sensitive client issues to senior team members. Liaise with technology and starts teams to improve our process and test new technology solutions.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Math, Economics, Finance, or related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with the following: utilizing and applying an understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, and the nature of securities trading and investing while adhering to compliance requirements; applying experience with Financial and Insurance industry regulations that govern trading, investing, client relations and communications; utilizing tools including Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg functionality and analytics, to successfully generate portfolio construction and risk models; delivering client presentations on macroeconomics, portfolio positioning and performance, other credit analysis, and answering client questions; handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and monitoring on a daily basis 100+ portfolios with respect to alignment with active investment views and consistency with client objectives; and collaborating with peers to be able to work with sales, research, trading, and other relevant entities and risk management systems as required for the insurance portfolio management process to generate portfolio returns, provide client servicing, and design investment strategies to meet client objectives within their guidelines.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $115,000 - $180,000.
