The RoleBlackpeak is seeking an Associate to carry out intensive research and analysis, prepare high quality written reports, and conduct client briefings under the supervision of project managers.
This role is open for both Shanghai and Beijing offices.Key Responsibilities:Carry out intensive research and analysis through desktop and database research, interviews, and traveling where necessary, and then assessing accuracy, reliability, and relevance Support case managers to conduct research Identify interviewees and conduct interviews as part of the research process Carry out research to support business development initiatives Produce high quality full written reports and charts Present findings to clients in a professional manner Work as a part of a multinational team across Blackpeak’s offices. This may include periods working with colleagues in other countries Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree or higherAt least 3 years of industry experience in investigative due diligence, business intelligence research, and corporate investigationsA solid understanding of the business environment in mainland China and Hong Kong, including the key issues affecting investorsEffective communication and presentation skills – ability to communicate research findings in writing and orally in discussion with clientsStrong people management skills - ability to manage and direct team of internal researchers and work with external consultantsStrong self-management skills – ability to take initiative and ownership of cases, and produce results under tight time constraints, both independently and as a member of a teamStrong project management skillsStrong analytical skills, including critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesThe ability to carry out detailed research and analysis via proprietary databases, the internet, and human sourcesThe ability to identify and effectively interview sourcesThe ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and multi-task under pressureThe ability to perform job functions with minimal direct supervisionNative or complete fluency in written and spoken English; native fluency in Mandarin ChineseAbout usWe’re a diverse group of visionary innovators who provide trading and workflow automation software, high-value analytics, and strategic consulting to corporations, central banks, financial institutions, and governments.
