Primary Role:
The Surety Associate Account Manager works collaboratively with the Producer, Account Manager, Account Executive and Account Administrator servicing clients. Assists with day-to-day service for surety clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships and understanding client needs. This role is designed to build a foundational expertise in surety while supporting the broader team to achieve service excellence and client satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectationsGeneral knowledge of surety industry and surety bonds.Acquires understanding of clients’ surety objectives. Stays abreast of changes in the surety industry and other external conditions that may impact their clients.Oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions, bond execution, and internal processing for assigned accountsTroubleshoots billing issuesAppropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates all HUB computer systems and broker management system when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of data and files in those systemsProvides assistance with clients’ service issues escalated by Account AdministratorAssists Account Manager and Account Executive in the collection of financial packages with clients for annual renewal of bond lines.Supports marketing and RFP process as neededProvide mentorship with Account AdministratorCoordinates client contact changes with Producer/Account ExecutiveAttends industry related events in addition to continuing education training and coursesSupport multiple Account Managers and Account Executives with books of businessTaking on delegated tasks, and completing with open and consistent communicationCover absences for Account Managers and other surety staffProcess incoming mail, email and phone requests from Surety companies and clients, responding promptly and appropriatelyPerforms other duties and projects as assignedKey Competencies:

Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree preferredAt least 2-5 years of related experience working as an Account Representative in the surety industry (equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable).Client facing experience requiredP&C License required or must be able to obtain within 120 days of hirePhysical Requirements:

Public Speaking/Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively customers and teammates.Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus.Math Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; follow guidelines on working in BMS (EPIC) for premium efficiency with your team.About Us
