The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and exhibit relationship building skills.  The ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility will be critical.  This position will have an opportunity to be involved with projects of varying scope and complexity.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with heavy accounting emphasisAt least 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably in the financial services industryPublic accounting and/or private equity experience are a plusYou have strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in today’s “hybrid” work environment and adhere to established deadlinesYou have strong PC and financial software skills with emphasis on Excel, Essbase and Oracle applicationsYou have excellent oral, written, and presentation skillsYou take pride in having attention to detail and accuracy of assigned responsibilitiesYou have strong relationship building and interpersonal skillsYou are able to work well in a fast paced, team environment and across a complex organization

The Team

As a member of the Asset Management Accounting and Controllership Team this individual will act both independently and as part of a work-team to support the broader organizations.  This person will be relied upon to assist the team with various tasks to ensure there are proper controls in place for a wide variety of processes.  This position will have an opportunity to interact directly with various business partners throughout Fidelity as well as the firm’s external auditors.

Being part of the larger team, the role will focus on the following:

Ownership of assigned journal entries, accounting reconciliations and management reporting packagesAd-hoc analysis, reporting and projectsMaintaining data hierarchies related to our legal entities Collaboration with business partners to ensure accurate reportingOwnership of assigned processes and controls documentationProcessing wire transactionsAttending various meetings and documenting discussionsDocumenting intercompany and related party transactionsUpdates and maintenance of financial aspects of intercompany agreements and responsible for centralized storage of the agreementsInternal and external audit support
