Associate Analyst, Clinical Contracts, Critical Care

The Associate Analyst, Clinical Contracts negotiates and develops contracts associated with clinical trials, ensures contracts comply with regulations and manages the lifecycle of contracts.

How you will make an impact:

Initiate and prepare initial contract file and drafts, redlines and negotiate basic contracts based on basic knowledge of financial, regulatory and clinical requirements Develop processes, plan strategies, track contract lifecycle, and manage all contract management systems Collect required documentation for contract submissionsCollaborate with key stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance and Finance to obtain or clarify data required for contractsInterface with 3rd parties to obtain required data, and/or acquire clarification to data in order to initiate and finalize contracts Submit proposed final draft and supporting documentation through Legal Department’s RFA system for contract approval and secure appropriate signatures within specified signing authorityGenerate reports (e.g., expiration, cycle status, terms, payment milestones)Other incidental duties

What you’ll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree in a related field, and 1 year of previous related experience in contract negotiation/administration

Experienced in managing the lifecycle of clinical and/or non-clinical agreements in the biopharma or medical device industriesKnowledge of budgets and financial trackingGood computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and ability to operate general office machineryGood written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skillsGood knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to contract negotiation and administrationBasic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare compliance and privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA and Sunshine Act)Basic understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., CFR, GCP) and documentsAbility to manage confidential information with discretionStrict attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a team environment, including immediate supervisor and other team members in the section or groupAbility to build stable working relationships internally

For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000 to $77,000 (highly experienced).
