**Position: Associate Application Engineer**
**Location:** WV/Fremont
We are seeking a highly motivated Application Engineering Consultant to join our Calibre Foundry/SEMI Manufacturing Solutions team. As an associated AE, you will be part of a 1-year program to learn and develop both your technical skills and your soft skills. There will be a mix of classroom training, on the job training and by the end of the year you will play a crucial role in advancing our Calibre-based RET/OPC and Mask solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Subject Matter Expertise:** Serve as a subject matter expert in Computational Lithography, establishing a “trusted advisor” relationship with leading customers and partners.
+ **Software Development:** Collaborate with the product team to develop software prototypes addressing computational lithography and advanced mask challenges using Python/TCL, Calibre API, and the Calibre DRC/OPC Platform.
+ **Technical Presentations and Training:** Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions on Calibre OPC/MPC Platforms.
+ **Customer Engagement and Support:** Assist with the adoption, proliferation, and successful production deployment of Calibre products from design through mask production. Provide support to our clients in US and EU.
+ **Engage with Cutting-Edge Technology:** Work with both advanced and mature technology nodes.
+ **Innovate and Implement:** Test, customize, and deploy new features in collaboration with the product team.
+ **Showcase Value:** Demonstrate our product’s capabilities and contribute to sales initiatives.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Education:** Master or PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Applied Math, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
+ **Programming Skills:** Intermediate to advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TCL, or C/C++ is preferred.
+ **Analytical Skills:** Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and a self-motivated curiosity about AI and advanced semiconductor manufacturing are required. Knowledge of photolithography, including optics, resist modeling, and mask synthesis is a plus but not necessary.
+ **Communication Skills:** Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills are essential, as this role involves direct interaction with customers.
+ **Teamwork and Attitude:** Strong team player with a can-do attitude and a strong sense of ownership.

SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $111,000 to $131,000 and this role is eligible to earn another 3% in variable pay. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
