Associate Architect

About the role

Lead the architectural vision for our digital transformation initiatives, designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions that directly impact Thomson Reuters' customer experience

Drive technical excellence by establishing architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across full-stack development teams

Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, future-proof solutions

Provide technical leadership in modernizing legacy applications using cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture

Guide cross-functional teams in delivering robust solutions across front-end, backend, security, and integration domains
 

About You

You're a fit for the role of Associate Architect if your background includes:
 

Technical Expertise

8+ years of development experience, with a significant focus on frontend architectures and customer-facing applications

5+ years of hands-on experience with full-stack technologies (React.js, Node.js, .NET Core/Java)

Strong track record implementing cloud solutions, particularly with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3)

Experience with enterprise integration platforms (Dell Boomi, MuleSoft) and SaaS systems (Salesforce, SAP)

Proven expertise in identity and access management solutions (JWT/OAuth)
 

Architecture & Design

Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical architecture documentation

Experience with architectural patterns and their practical application

Background in modernizing legacy applications to current technology stacks

Understanding of cloud-native design principles and microservices architecture
 

Leadership & Communication

Track record of mentoring teams and driving technical standards

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience working with globally distributed agile teams

Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
 

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Relevant certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP or TOGAF (preferred)
 

Desirable Experience

E-commerce platforms and payment systems integration

AI/ML technologies and recommendation engines

DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code

Technical consulting experience
