The Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Leadership and Belonging serves as a member of the department’s senior leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the athletics department’s student-athlete leadership, engagement, and development initiatives, student-athlete career and life after sports programming, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) education. The position also serves as a sport administrator for designated sports and as the athletics department’s liaison to the University’s Division of Student Affairs and other departments as designated.

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. At least five (5) years of experience leading the development and implementation of intercollegiate athletics student-athlete development, leadership, and/or career transition initiatives or programs. Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, verbal, writing, interpersonal skills. Ability to plan, establish priorities, and organize varied and complex tasks. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays depending on work and game schedules. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work as part of a team and motivate staff in a fast–paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the university by the university’s insurance carrier.
