Job SummaryThe Associate Billing Specialist has the primary responsibility for accurate invoice coordination and submissions.Essential Functions + Submits electronic invoice batches to various clearinghouse entities. + Prints and submits invoices via mail. + Obtain necessary documentation (medical order, clinical notes, patient agreement, etc.) to determine medical criteria eligibility, and submit to insurance carrier for coverage determination. + Reviews and enters invoice information into various online insurance portals. + Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data. + Operates office machines such as printers, copiers and mail stuffing machine. + Records daily volume of incoming and outgoing invoice information. + Responsible for reviewing and processing End of Use accounts. + Responsible for quality checks on daily invoice reports to prevent incorrect invoice submission. + Responsible for sending emails, photocopying, scanning and faxing. + Responsible for adhering to all company processes and procedures as identified in employee handbook. + Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
