RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general direction of the Director of Brand Management, the Associate Brand Manager will play a critical role in growing the Justin’s brand through the execution of initiatives across all elements of the marketing mix.  This position requires basic business acumen with a focus on analytics and project management, strong leadership skills, keen attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn and grow as a marketer.

Analyze the business, category trends, and competitive landscape to uncover insights and execute tactics to achieve key business objectives.Assist team with critical business functions to manage the day-to-day business including support for Justin’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.Collaborate closely with Sales & Sales Strategy to explore growth opportunities for the brand, develop selling materials, build the forecast, and foster connection between the Sales and Marketing Teams.Assist in the new product development process including cross-functional team collaboration and overall project management.Leverage consumer research and analytics to develop an understanding of the Applegate consumer and identify opportunities to be the voice of this consumer throughout the broader organization.Provide support to build presentations and internal company materials.Assist in executing marketing campaigns and participate in programs to communicate brand messaging/influence purchase.Contribute to overall brand financials including P&L management, category/item profitability, trade program effectiveness, and ROI analysis.Conduct store audits, execute competitive assessments, and monitor trends across the industry.Oversee Brand Management Budget and own set-up/deployment of coupons.Assist Sales & Marketing team with other ad hoc requests, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business.2-4 Years of relevant industry experience.Must exhibit understanding of data (syndicated, shipment) and the ability to interpret data to assist team in decision-making.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines through diligent project management.Exhibits a passion for food and the Natural / Organic industry.Proficient in MS Office / Outlook.  Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United StatesApplicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

MBAExperience accessing syndicated data systems (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS).

At Applegate, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $89,300 - $125,000 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
