Associate Broker

What the day will look like We add excitement to the daily support activities to be performed for brokers and senior brokers by inviting you to engage in, or even facilitate, client/broker strategy meetings! A successful colleague will also demonstrate capabilities to create innovative solutions for our clients. Additional responsibilities: Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of private company insurance marketplace, products and services, developing productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters Develop and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate external client contacts and other internal Aon clients Provide effective responses on a timely basis. Do so in consultation with a senior team member where appropriate. Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with appropriate external client contacts and internal Aon clients Learn and understand all elements of client presentations and develop skill set in development of basic presentations / presentation sections including technical writing. Develop verbal presentation skills. How this opportunity is different As an Associate Broker, you will be supporting a team of brokers to strategize and solve for client’s management liability insurance challenges. You will have the opportunity to work directly on an assigned book of business, develop client and insurer relationships, and collaborate with Aon colleagues across the globe! Skills and experience that will lead to success 0-3 years in brokering, servicing, and/or underwriting management liability lines Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activities Comply with all best practices Demonstrate effective communication and negotiation skills Replicate effective products/solutions and develop broking opportunities Must have the willingness to obtain an active Property and Casualty license within (6 months or 120 days) days of hire. Your employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining the P&C license in the required states, as designated by Aon. You must successfully complete the required course work and pass the examinations within 120 days of your start date. You will be expected to pass the examination in no more than three attempts. If you do not pass after your third attempt, your employment with Aon will be terminated immediately. In addition, you will complete all required paperwork necessary in obtaining the license. Aon will be responsible for paying the costs associated with the coursework and examinations according to the Aon licensing policy, for up to three attempts. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the termination of your employment with the firm. Education: Bachelor’s degree in BA/BS required, with a concentration on Risk Management or Finance degree is preferred. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000 -$90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of CA.
