Working with the guidance and direction of Senior Broker, the Associate Broker oversees day-to-day placement and broking responsibilities for North American Construction accounts including new business development; develops business relationships with retail producers and markets; negotiates with underwriters regarding coverage terms, conditions and pricing on new and existing programs; evaluates quotes, prepares marketing reports for distribution; assists regional teams with RFP and new business proposal development, and performs other duties as assigned.

The Role
The Associate Broker is recognized by the client, client advocate team and the insurance marketplace as the colleague who provides critical support to the team, negotiating terms and conditions of various Construction coverage's on behalf of clients.
The Responsibilities
The Requirements
Insurance broker’s P&C license will be requiredRisk Management/Insurance degree preferred0 – 5 years of experience minimumDemonstrated knowledge of core insurance principles & can provide explanation to clientsDemonstrated excellence in negotiation skills and influence skills are criticalDemonstrated ability in conflict resolution and selling skills are a plusAttention to detail and process orientationExposure to Excel formulas and spreadsheet creation/manipulation a plusUnderstanding of required placement workflowsSelf-starter/requires minimal supervisionWill seek guidance when neededSolid presentation skills-written or oralEnhancing client service skillsAbility to deal with difficult client situationsDemonstrates knowledge of insurance structuresEOE, including disability/vets
