Surveyor/Senior/Associate - Building Consultancy

An opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor up to Associate level to join our expanding Building Consultancy team in Manchester.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and work alongside an enviable client base with fantastic instructions and opportunities. This includes the opportunity to develop relationships with other successful internal departments such as Tenant Representation, Management, Agency, Rating, Capital Markets and Planning to provide holistic, commercial advice to our clients.

We are looking for an energetic surveyor who is looking to develop and form part of a highly successful team with a strong pipeline for 2025.

What this job involves

The workload will be varied and exciting, including running projects across sectors, dilapidations, development monitoring and core building surveying duties, such as surveys and technical due diligence.

This includes:

Undertaking Building Surveyor's inspections and preparing reportsUndertaking the role of Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent on fit-out, refurbishment and adaptation projectsNegotiating schedules of dilapidations/preparing exit strategiesAssisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties from time to time as may be reasonably requiredMaking sustainable business links with both external and internal clients and offering a professional and excellent client service at all times

Required to have the ability to work within a team and on own initiativeMust be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivatedMust have strong verbal and numerical skills, and be comfortable with report writingRequires excellent time management and general organisational skillsIs required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressureMust be well presented and have excellent communication skillsMRICS or nearing qualification (Building Surveying) with ideally proven experience, preferably PQE in a commercial consultancyGood working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookClean driving license
