Your Role:

Business Development Manager, owns the success of our Nessus product line and high-velocity Channel Sales at our most strategic reseller partners. S/He will be the strategic marketing and sales individual for Nessus, driving the channel partner sales and marketing plan, guiding and influencing product and program investments, and sales channels (Direct Market Resellers, eCommerce through these partners, etc.), ultimately accountable for the market success of Nessus to hit acquisition, revenue, and retention objectives. This role will be working with Marketing, eCommerce, Product Management, and Customer Success to develop and deliver growth strategies that successfully contribute to Tenable’s revenue goals.

Your Opportunity:

Candidate will own all Nessus revenue (Net New and Renewals) with all NA Resellers with an emphasis on key DMRs (Currently around $40M in revenues. These sales are $2500 to $3500 each = High VelocityWork with dedicated Product Management and Marketing leaders to develop innovative web-marketing strategies through segmentation, packaging and pricing, identifying appropriate sales channels, launch plans, sales enablement and campaigns to drive revenueGrow & manage all Nessus DMR sales and renewals in North AmericaSupport lead generation, sales enablement campaigns and new client acquisition with national partner marketing teamsUnderstand sales and partner needs and develop training and education assets to enable the customer-facing teams to accelerate time to revenue and beat the competitionWork with the marketing, sales, channel partners, to position Nessus not only at the high level but also around the new technologies or features that Nessus brings to the marketBe the voice of the customer to provide market-facing information for staff functions and development teamsMay perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time


What You'll Need:

1-3 years experience primarily in Sales and/or Marketing specifically in the application software market (security market is a plus) through DMRsBA/BS Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or related fieldExperience with both SaaS and On-Premise Software businessesExcellent written and oral communication skills, including creative written content (sales tools) and giving presentations to customer & partner audiencesWorking knowledge of Reseller / DMR channelsExperience selling SaaS Network Security / Security Analytics / SIEM products, or enterprise-wide security software technologiesMust be willing to travel to partners, customers, and events as needed to achieve our objectivesStrong ethics, self-directed and resourcefulnessAbility to thrive in a fast moving, dynamic environmentPositive attitude, ambitious, and a passion for building a valuable businessTechnically savvy with strength in communicating business valueAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time

This is the base pay range for this position. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance. US Pay Ranges$85,000—$113,666.66 USD
