Associate Business Development Manager - Education
**Overview** ABM is seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Development Representative to join our team. In this role, you will identify and create new qualified sales opportunities in targeted geographic and/or vertical markets. You will conduct outbound prospecting activities and convert leads into qualified opportunities. Your responsibilities will include qualifying active buying interest and assigning sales-qualified leads to the appropriate salesperson/process. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and operation executives to provide feedback on the effectiveness of lead-generation campaigns. Additionally, you will develop initial, professional relationships with prospective clients to ensure they have an exceptional introductory experience with ABM, setting the stage for effective sales follow-up and future sales activities. **Pay:** $40,000 - $70,000 The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit Employee Benefits | Staff & Management (https://wpe-media.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Staff\_&\_Management\_No%20Date%209.5.24.pdf) **Essential Functions:** + Conduct outbound telemarketing activities towards targeted accounts, prospect lists, and other marketing campaigns via phone and email. + Execute a high volume of outbound calls and emails to engage potential clients. + Build and cultivate customer relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up qualifications to move new business opportunities into the sales funnel. + Perform initial needs assessments and identify prospects' pain points to determine how ABM’s solutions could address those needs. + Develop and increase industry/product knowledge and acumen to position ABM’s value proposition to multiple vertical segments. + Maintain accurate records of all activities in Salesforce.com and promote database cleanup and hygiene through regular and ongoing maintenance activities to ensure proper lead management. + Develop, educate, and qualify inbound leads in targeted geographic and vertical markets to provide sales with well-qualified leads. + Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities. + Disseminate opportunities to appropriate salespeople and ensure salespeople are fully informed about the client and opportunities for further development. + Achieve sales-qualified lead quotas to ensure revenue objectives. + Promote open communication with field sales and operations teams. + Conduct site walks, meetings, and sales/operation tasks in the field. + Special projects and other duties as assigned. **Required Qualifications:** + **Education:** High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. + **Experience:** 1-2 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or inside sales. + **Skills and Abilities:** + Intuitive selling abilities. + Highly organized and detail-oriented. + Motivated self-starter with a track record of successful, credible lead follow-up and sales development. + Strong communication skills, including a positive and energetic phone demeanor, excellent listening, problem-solving, and writing skills. + Motivation, drive, and a self-starting attitude. + Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Ability to meet and exceed achievable targets. + Knowledge of Salesforce and automated outreach tools. + Familiarity with marketing automation software such as Marketo. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com (or similar CRM). + Ability to travel as needed.
