Marketing Intern Program
Zendesk’s Marketing team is passionate about creating meaningful connections with our customers. Through innovative, personalized, and scalable marketing programs, we aim to enable the customer journey, while driving engagement & revenue growth.

Our Marketing Summer Internship offers a unique opportunity to work on impactful projects, learning & applying your skills in real-world marketing scenarios. This 9-week program, beginning in June 2025, is based in our San Francisco office, located in the heart of the downtown financial district.

What You’ll Experience
As an intern, you’ll join a cohort of like-minded peers and receive guidance from experienced marketers dedicated to supporting your growth. Your support team will include your manager, a peer buddy, and a senior mentor (Director+), providing you with personalized feedback and career development.

This program is ideal for rising undergraduate seniors (graduating May/June 2026) pursuing degrees in Business, Marketing, Communications, Program Management, or related fields. We’re seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals ready to make an impact.

Location: San Francisco office (Monday-Thursday in-office, WFH Fridays)

What you’ll be doing 

Within the Integrated Marketing function, we have two different roles/projects across the following two teams: 

Global Demand Gen

Lifecycle Strategy & Programs

As one of our two Integrated Marketing interns, your key responsibilities may include the following:

Assist in the planning and logistics of our tier 1 marketing moments, including global digital campaigns and events.

Collaborate with the Demand Marketing Team to design a comprehensive demand generation campaign kit.

Work with Lifecycle Strategy Team to build journey maps and recommendations for 1-3 products, personas, or titles, identifying critical milestones and gaps to address for specific customer use cases.

Who You Are:
We are looking for passionate, creative, and proactive interns who are eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic team. 

Minimum Requirements:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Program Management, or a related field with planned graduation in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026

Positive attitude with a marketing mindset.

Creative and innovative with a knack for problem solving.

A customer-first mindset and an interest in optimizing the customer experience

Desire to learn new things quickly and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and/or GSuite tools (Gcal, Slides), and familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter).

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail - an overall “get it done” attitude.

Preferred Requirements:

Previous Sales, Marketing or Product internship preferred

Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, social media management platforms, etc.) is a plus.

Hybrid: 

Being digital first doesn’t mean we’re digital only. In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our San Francisco office 4x a week.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $47,000.00-$71,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
