Description

Huntington's Strategic Advisory Group Associate will work directly with senior originators to help connect private businesses at all stages of their lifecycle to a full spectrum of tailored capital markets solutions, investment banking capabilities, transition advisory, and industry expertise. The Strategic Advisory Group supports all of Huntington’s regions and industry verticals and are committed to delivering holistic advice and bringing creative thought leadership around business transitions, complex capital structuring, and  Institutional Capital initiatives to drive new opportunities and relationships for HNB. Strategic Advisory serves as the advisory conduit between local Commercial coverage, Capstone, CSG, and Wealth whereby the group champions knowledge advancement of bankers—bridging the business and personal needs of our clients to assure optimal outcomes and success.   Strategic Advisory Group is highly coordinated with Huntington’s Leveraged Finance Execution team, Sponsor Coverage, Investment Bank, Capital Markets, Wealth, and local Commercial Bankers to drive new revenue growth by delivering the Bank’s balance sheet and advisory services in support of these transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely across all the Debt and Equity Capital Markets groups, including, Syndicated Finance, High Grade Bonds & Private Placements, Leveraged Finance & High Yield Bonds, Syndicate Sales & Loan Sales & Trading, and Equity Capital Markets.Managing all phases of pre- and post-mandate execution of financing opportunities, drafting accurate work deliverables (CIMs, LP, pitches, internal approval memos) that demonstrate an understanding of the broad capital markets, the loan market in general, and the issue specifically and training, managing, and monitoring work product of analysts.Contribute to pitch meetings and new business development discussions and oversee the creation, maintenance, continued improvement, and production of high-quality templates to promote consistency of appearance and delivery across all of Debt and Equity Capital Markets. Pre-mandate responsibilities include working directly with senior originators to identify opportunity specific ideas, insights, industry comparable analysis, financial modeling, and ensuring all are summarized in concise, illustrative, and persuasive presentations. Anticipate needs for upcoming meetings of senior bankers’ schedule and pipelines and maintain working knowledge of specific industry/products and demonstrate fluency in Capital Markets activities across products and identify potential transaction opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s DegreeFINRA Series 79 & 63 obtained or to be obtained within 6 months of hire date2-3+ years’ experience in investment banking or corporate finance
