**Summary** :
+ The Associate CIO – Entity Services is responsible for developing and leading a strategically-oriented organization supporting: Entity Services and Clinical Engineering that support the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Reporting to the Associate Vice President – I/T Entity Services Corporate Information Services, the individual will work with representatives of Information Services and other third-party partners to coordinate the delivery of solutions to the Penn Medicine enterprise. The role will also involve the participation in the development of corporate IS planning activities to support consistent utilization of technology and business processes throughout the enterprise.
**Responsibilities** :
+ Responsible for providing leadership for the implementation, support and optimization of the UPHS IS resources.
+ Directly manages the Entity Information Officers, Department Information Officer, Director of Clinical Engineering and the Clinical Engineering Architect as well as manager level personnel that are focused on achieving objectives of the assigned organizational area(s).
+ Works through complicated and often political project delivery situations while demonstrating successful outcomes and quick resolutions to problems. Interacts closely with senior leadership and key project stakeholders with exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
+ Works closely with entity and health system senior leadership to ensure both the entity and health system goals / objectives receive the proper Information Services support.
+ Leads and monitors activities within these areas to ensure effective and efficient operations.
+ Coordinates with other ACIOs and the Associate Vice President – I/T Entity Services Corporate Information Services in annual planning.
**Education or Equivalent Experience** :
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, or IT related discipline is required.
+ Master's Degree is preferred.
+ 15+ years of progressive experience in a complex healthcare provider or healthcare research environment is required.
+ 10+ years of demonstrated management experience (IT or Clinical) is required.
+ 1+ years of enterprise IT experience is required.
