Associate Circuit Breaker Tech
Essential Responsibilities • Build, refurbish, rebuild, repair, & test various types of circuit breakers, contactors, grounding devices, and other electrical distribution equipment. • Provide remote technical assistance to internal and external customers • Provide safe and clean working environment. • Interpret Powell electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Retrieve and print drawings from Powell database. • Relationships Reporting to Breaker Department Manager Internal relationships include regular interaction with: Project Management, Sales, and Quality Assurance Minimum Qualifications • Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma is preferred. • Minimum of 2 Years in a similar role Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements • Demonstrated understanding of basic electrical theory, safety, and applications. • Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills using Oracle, MS Outlook, Word & Excel • Working knowledge with using the following test equipment: Hi-Potential Test Set, Insulation Resistance Test Set, Multi-meter, dial caliper. • Must demonstrate working knowledge with the use of various hand tools and mechanical adaptability. • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency in problem solving is a preferred. Working Conditions • Safety sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities. • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (i.e., safety shoes, hard hats, bump caps, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses as required) and respirators when required. • Must be able to work from all type of ladders (step ladders, "A" frame ladders, etc.) • Working at heights usually no higher than 20 feet in the air on an elevated structure using proper lift equipment and Fall Protection Equipment.
