Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator – Remote in MN or WI

Maintains health information in both paper files and electronic systems. Reviews charts for accurate information, processes release of information requests (ROI), and locates and delivers medical and dictation records. May mentor and train staff and help guide work for associate and intermediate staff.

This position is full time Tuesday - Saturday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work during our normal business hours of 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 3 months of paid training. The hours will be of 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday CST

Primary Responsibilities:

Organizes and maintains health information records. Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information. Processes release of information (ROI) requests. Manages requests for documentation and information. Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record. Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems. Distributes reports and results. May train and mentor co-workers. Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements. Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability. Other duties as assigned.

This is a customer service environment. You’ll need to be efficient, productive, and thorough dealing with our members.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED  Must be 18 years of age OR older 1+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting Experience working with medical records Ability to travel to 2925 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55407 to complete onsite training for first week Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management) Ability to work train for the first three months between 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday CST After training, ability to work Tuesday to Saturday during our normal business hours of 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years medical terminology experience 2+ years experience in health information management (HIM)

 

Telecommuting Requirements:

Reside within MN or WI Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
