The Associate Cloud FinOps Engineer is responsible for managing cloud cost efficiency, monitoring cloud expenditures, and implementing cost-saving initiatives across the cloud infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
Daily, you will be analyzing cloud expenses, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-reducing solutions.You’ll be creating accurate cost forecasts, managing budgets, and alerting about budget overruns.You will work with the cloud enablement team to implement cost optimization strategies.You will monitor cloud spend against budget and make recommendations for improvement.You’ll partner with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate cloud billing.You’ll will continuously monitor the resource usage and generate reports reflecting costs and performance.You’ll be working closely with DevOps teams, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective use of cloud resources.You will manage Cost Allocation by understanding how different parts of the organization are using cloud resources, like figuring out which departments are using the most cloud storage.You will organize Cost Governance by setting guidelines and processes to keep cloud costs under control, like creating budgets and alerts to avoid overspending.What You’ll Need
You have 1-2 years of experience of cloud pricing models (AWS, Azure, GCP).You have 1-2 years of experience with cloud cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Cloudability, Azure Cost Management).You’re familiar with cloud automation and resource optimization techniques.You have analytical and problem-solving skills related to cloud usage and costs.Your proficient in Excel or other data analysis tools.You will need excellent presentation skills in order to communicate with management and stakeholders.#LI-LD1
The starting pay range for this position is:
$84,100.00 - $111,900.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
